WHEN:       Saturday  September 16  ~  2:00 pm WHERE:     Cravings Ice Cream, 76 Shenango Ave., Sharon, PA 16146 WHY:         Meet the candidates face-to-face and learn how the courts affect our communities. Be an informed voter!                   The Supreme, Superior, and Commonwealth Courts can have a major impact on social justice issues ranging from education to women's health to workers' rights. When unions, people of color, and vulnerable communities are under attack, the courts can protect them. These elections matter. It is a rare opportunity to see all our judicial candidates tour Western Pennsylvania together. Join us for this historic event and meet these candidates in person. They need to hear from us in Mercer County! This week, take action to protect Title IX protections for victims of sexual assault. Betsy DeVos' efforts to rescind these protections are alarming and disturbing.  Call Rep. Kelly, Sen. Toomey, and Sen. Casey and tell them to protect the Title IX protections enacted in 2011. The Dept. of Education is currently soliciting public comment. Take a moment to submit a comment in support of the 2011 regulations. You can also speak out to defend DACA-recipients and DREAMERS. Use this guide to contact your representatives.
