Dear Friends, 

Your persistence, your phone calls,  your true concern for health care, WORKED !
Your willingness to connect with friends in Venango, Butler, Lawerence, and Erie County to build a stronger, united network fighting to protect health care WORKED ! What a difference all of you made.

The fight for universal healthcare will go on. On Thursday, August 10th there will be an important event: We the People: A Conversation about Healthcare, 7pm-9pm at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School in Cranberry Twp, PA. Click through for more info and to reserve a seat.

Thanks to all who have marched with the DWMC in summer parades. The next parade is the Jefferson Township Fair on Tuesday, August 8th at 6:15pm. Contact Kim Powell at kimmyanne@gmail.com or 724-734-1399 for details. 

Thanks also to those who have been so active this summer, attending Mark Longietti's fundraiser, protesting Trump in Youngstown, and joining healthcare rallies in Erie and Pittsburgh. 

The DWMC Candidates Kickoff Meeting will be Saturday, August 12 at 10 am at Cravings, 76 Shenango Ave., Sharon, PA 16146We are honored to welcome Judge Ellen Ceislercandidate for PA Commonwealth Court, and Judge Debbie Kunselman, candidate for PA Superior Court.  See you there!

Mark Longietti's  Summer Picnic is Thursday7/27at 5:30 pm at the Masonic Lodge Picnic Grounds at Rt. 62 and Neshannock Rd. Tickets are $30 and available at the door.  

Announced today, Sen. Bob Casey will be holding a townhall on Saturday, 7/22 in Erie. 
Where: Blasco Library – Hirt Auditorium
9:30 AM – Doors Open To Public
10:00 AM – Town Hall Begins, U.S. Senator Bob Casey Introduced

DWMC July

Dear Friends, 

There are no lazy days of summer for the DWMC. Thank you to everyone who is fighting for healthcare: at rallies, with letters to the editor, and with calls to the Senate. Our work has made a difference. We must keep up our efforts and slam the door shut on this terrible bill. Continue to use the DWMC call-in action plan to stop it. We are calling not only Sen. Toomey, but 10 sway-able Senators. Special thanks to those who attended the Memorial March for Healthcare in Erie on Friday. Photos can be found on our FB page

Of course the work in Harrisburg continues. Please take a moment to contact your representatives about two important state bills using the links below. 
Oppose HB 97 so-called "Charter School Reform" written by privatization lobbyists.
Support SB 555 Fair Share Tax Plan. (More info SB 555 can be found here.)

See Waterfire with the DWMC on July 15th. Gather at 7pm at Cravings Ice Cream, 76 Shenango Ave., Sharon. Wear your DWMC t-shirt and enjoy an evening out!

Fair Districts PA will be hosting 2 info sessions on gerrymandering in Butler County this month, 7/11 in Saxonburg and 7/15 in Butler. Their statewide event calendar can be found here.
