Today is a Day of Action

Last Thursday many gathered in the union hall to hear our candidates... We also head the pleas from Jackie Walker and Chuck Baldoff ... This election cannot be won unless we GOTV 

Yesterday many stood in front  of the Behavioral Health System in Sharon.  The issues they stand for cannot be addressed unless we elect candidates that stand for mental health!

Aug. 9, 2014 Democrat Women Mercer County:

DWMC meeting on Saturday Morning, August 9 proved to be an exciting event at our new headquarters in Sharon PA.  We had around 24 members and guests even though we expected our turn out to be a lot less due to so many of our members being on summer vacations.

Our speaker was Mike Moser from the Tom Wolf Campaign.

 Mike stayed after the meeting to set up vote builder on our iPads and Laptop Computers, several members did phone banking for the Wolf Campaign and are now set up to continue phone banking from home. 

 We will continue phone banking for Mike Muha and Tom Wolf from our New Vine Street Headquarters and are asking for volunteers to help us in our Campaign to Elect Tom Wolf as our next Governor.  

Wolf Yard signs were distributed to members.  We will have more coming in.

National Night Out in Farrell, PA

Juneteenth Farrell, PA

A Beautiful day.  We gave away a lot of free books to children while enjoying the great music and community. 

Thank you to everyone that helped set up and take down our booth, thank you to the folks that represented the Democrats in the Parade and worked in our booth answering questions and giving away books.  Thank you to everyone that donated books and played a role in making this event happen.

You can see our booth in the far right of this picture.  We were one of many enjoying this yearly celebration in Veterians Square in Farrell, PA

Action Help Wanted!

JUNTEENTH   Is in place of our June DWMC meeting volunteers are needed to work the booth or be in the parade. The following are times and actions:

9:30 parade line up parade begins at 10:30    Contact Rhonda Paglia or Sue Herald for details 

Donation of new or gently used children's books.  These books will be given out at our booth

11:00 - 1:00.   Volunteers needed to
Hand out books , read to groups if children , hand out voter registration forms , and hand out DWMC membership forms 

1:00 - 3:00.   Same as above

This event has been a tradition for DWMC .  It is a wonderful time to enjoy great music, delicious food, and working together with the democrats of Mercer County. Our party will have a table next to ours !

Harrisburgh Day of Action

Maria Farrell and Judy Hines were in Harrisburg as two voices among 500 to speak to saving our beloved Pa. parks and game lands from fracking .   

It was a 3 for day ....  We visited state Rep.  On proposed pension bill, spoke to senators on behalf of Mike Muha and Dan LaValle,  and stood with a group opposing cuts for people with disabilities .   We had all of you in our pockets.

June 21 DWMC Day of Action. Juneteenth Farrell, PA

         DWMC DAY OF ACTION :  Juneteenth Celebration  ~ June 21 Veterans Square in Farrell

   Join us in celebration of this event, enjoy great live music and homecooked food and help spread good will in the community, encourage voter registration and voting. Participation in the Juneteenth event in Farrell will replace our regular June monthly meeting.

              DWMC booth has been a part of this event since the beginning of DWMC 

                      All DWMC hands on deck for this wonderful event.

                            BOOKS .  this is a part of our action for Juneteenth . We distribute books to

                            Children and for those members who chose, we sit under the trees
